How to find version of LCS or OCS

There are at least two ways you can find version of the LCS or OCS server.

Using Graphical User interface....

Open the OCS or LCS console and go to Help and About to retrieve the version number and type.

Using Registry...

Open Registry editor and access following location on the LCS or OCS server:

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Real-Time
Communications\{92AC8981-AAD9-4391-8563-92E558EEF4C6}
Value: Server
"SE" or "EE"
Value: Type
“Volume”, "Eval", or “MSDN” (LCS 2003 also has "RTM") (Beta version shows up
as Eval)
Value: Version

Version information about LCS and OCS Servers

"1.0.4949" = LCS 2003 RTM
"2.0.5369.0" = LCS 2005 RTM
"2.0.5470.0" = LCS 2005 SP1
"3.0.6090.0" = OCS2007 Beta 3
"3.0.6362.0" = OCS2007 RTM
