Configure an A/V Edge Server

Open Computer Management console and right Click the Edge Service to go to "OCS 2007 Properties". Click "Configure" under Internal Interface option.

Select an IP Address to be used for internal interface. This IP Address will be used to connect with the OCS Pool\Server.

Certificate subject name should be the internal FQDN of the A/V edge Server.

Click "Configure" under A/V Edge Server option.

Select an IP Address to be used for external interface. This IP Address should be registered on the Public DNS server against Audio-Video Conferencing Edge public FQDN (External FQDN of the Audio-Video Conferencing Edge Server). This IP Address must not be NATED. It has to be the public IP Address. See Why? http://communicationsserverteam.com/archive/2008/03/25/133.aspx

Select a certificate. The certificate should have the FQDN in subject name which is registered on the public DNS. Certificate subject name should be the external FQDN of the Audio-Video Conferencing Edge Server.

Now go to "internal" tab.

Type the "Next hop network address". It should be the OCS poolname or OCS Server name or OCS Director if you have any!

Add Domain. It should be supported list of SIP domains.

Add Servers. It should be the OCS Front End Servers or Director.
