Steps to activate the Access Edge Server |
Followings are the steps to Activate an Access Edge Server
To activate the Access Edge
Service immediately after installation, you must also
log on as a member of the DomainAdmins and
RTCUniversalServerAdmins groups.
Insert the Microsoft Office
Communications Server 2007 CD. Setup starts and launches
the deployment tool. If you are installing the Access
Edge Service from a network share, go to the
\Setup\I386 folder on the share, and then
double-click setup.exe.
Note:
If
Systems Management Server (SMS) is running on the
computer, stop the SMS service.





On the
Select Service Account page, select Create a
new account or Use an existing account, type
the account name and password to be used for the edge
server, enter a password, and then click Next
