Archiving Error 0xc3EC7882

 

When you try to activate OCS2007 Archiving and the CDR services in another domain than the root domain, the Activation Process fails with error message as "0xc3EC7882 Invalid Database Access Account Specified. Please ensure the Specified database access Account are
valid domain or Machine".

Solution: Make sure that the Server where you are trying to activate the Archiving Service, is reachable to the PDC of root domain. It might happen if proper name resolution is not happening between the domain and root domain.
